| "This is our second summer at the SCA Chess Camp. Our
eldest son began last year on an invitation from his cousin.
We were
quite skeptical, as he didn’t really know much about chess.
But we were thrilled to see how enthusiastic he was and how much
he progressed through the few weeks that he attended. We were
most impressed with how the camp set specific criteria for achieving
goals in chess. Often times it’s difficult to motivate
children in structured learning environments. But somehow the
SCA Chess Camp knows exactly how to make learning fun. This summer
our two other sons have attended, and all the boys literally
plan their chess strategies in the evening for the next day’s
events and can’t get to camp fast enough in the morning.
We’re thrilled with the progress they’ve made and
the individualized attention they have received from qualified
and caring instructors. Keep up the good work!"

| Dear SCA,
This is my son’s third summer attending chess camp. He has enjoyed it each time, and yet this year he’s gotten “the bug.” Not only did he enjoy the tournaments, he loves the competition enough to say, “I want to go again this summer!” So he’s coming again this very month.
